Rewena is a German apple variety bred at the Dresden-Pillnitz Fruit Research Institute and released in 1978, part of the "Re" series of multi-disease-resistant varieties.
Fruit
Fruit with a yellowish-green base skin, 60–90% covered in dark brownish-red, often russeted, smooth thick skin.
Approximate ripening period
Autumn variety.
Tree characteristics
One of the variety's key traits is triple resistance to scab, powdery mildew and fire blight — a well-documented feature of the Pillnitz "Re" series, which can reduce the need for fungicide treatments.
